Ever get one of those mornings where nothing feels right? You spill your coffee, oversleep, feel low energy and, dammit, can’t shake the cloud of negativity. We’ve all been there. But here’s the thing most of us don’t understand: you don’t have to be stuck there! Even on the hardest days, you can push your energy — your vibration — intentionally.
But first… what does “raising your vibration” really mean?
Put simply, everything in the universe is energy – and there’s nothing except energy. Your thoughts, feelings and your rare physicality are a bundle of frequencies. When you are filled with joy, love, gratitude, peace, etc., you vibrate at a higher frequency. When you find yourself in fear, anger, anxiety or shame, your energy enters into the lower spectrum of frequency.
When your vibration is raised, you are increasing your energetic frequency to a level where you feel both expansive, empowered and in alignment with who you really are. And the good news? You don’t have to be in Bali meditating under a waterfall to get there.
From stress and sadness, to simply just having an “off” day, here are practical, soul-nourishing ways to raise your vibration—every, single day.
1.Begin With an Intention for the Morning (Not a Glance at Your Phone)
One of the most potent habits of raising your vibration that you can develop is a morning routine. You don’t need an hour or a dollop of silence and incense — a few minutes on purpose listening to your energy before the world rushes in.
Try this:
After waking up, lay your hand on top of your heart.
Recite (or think) to yourself: “Today, I choose peace. I choose alignment. I choose love.”
So we take three slow deep breaths.
Thank you for something.
This easy habit changes your frequency before your feet even touch the ground.
#Don’t scroll your phone first thing. You pick up your phone before you pick up your soul, and this causes you to start your day in a reaction mode — a mode in which you take in other people’s energy before you deal with your own.
2. Cleanse Your Energy—Just Like You Clean Your Body
We already know about bathing daily to cleanse our physical body, but what about our energy field?
Negative thoughts, stress, arguments or even just crowded places can cling to your aura like spiritual dust. Here are some ways to energetically “rinse off” and realign:
Salt baths: A 15-minute soak with Epsom or Himalayan salt can help pull out dense energy.
Smudging: Light sage or palo santo and blow/smoke it around your body.
Visualization: Picture golden light flowing down from above, swatting away any darkness, any heaviness.
Even just walking into your backyard and taking in a little sun on your skin, or body or face, wind or whatever, helps to reset and cleanse that energy.
3. Move Your Body with Love (Not Punishment)
Moving is one of the easiest ways to move stuck energy and bring up the vibration.
But here’s the kicker: Move intentionally, not out of self-reprimand. It doesn’t take a hard workout. Dance in your kitchen. Stretch in bed. Go for a mindful walk. Jiggle out your bod like a tantruming toddler (seriously — give it a go; it works).
Movement helps:
Let go of trapped emotional energy
Boost endorphins
Get more oxygen to your brain (clarity = higher vibes)
If you can, move to music. Rap has a profound influence on your frequency – on sound and rhythm.
4. Choose Nourishment That Loves You Back
High-vibe energy begins with what you put into your body.
You do not have to eat perfect food in order to raise your vibration. Just begin by asking, ‘Is this energizing me or is this depleting me?’
They are foods rich in vibration:
Fresh fruits and vegetables
Spring water or herbal teas
Whole grains, seeds, nuts
Plant-based foods, minimally processed from earth grown nutrients
And while sugar, caffeine and processed foods aren’t “bad,” see how they impact your energy. When you view food as fuel for your vibration—instead of just your hunger—you begin to eat with intention and attention.
5. Speak the Language of Love (Especially to Yourself)
Your words carry frequency. The sound of your voice—speaking to others and to yourself—can raise or lower your vibration in an instant.
Notice your inner dialogue:
Is this self-annihilation or compassion?
Do you label yourself lazy or dumb or slow?
Or do you acknowledge your growth, your resilience, your progress?
Talk to you like you talk to someone you love. Try affirmations like:
“I align with the highest aspect of me.”
“Even in this struggle, I am getting stronger.”
“I respect where I am, and choose where I want to be.”
Your words create your world—choose them from the highest frequency possible.
6. Gratitude: The Vibration Amplifier
Gratitude is rocket fuel for your vibration. It takes you from deficiency to sufficiency, from fear to trust.
Despite whatever trouble you’re experiencing, there is always something to be thankful for:
A friend who reached out through text to see how I was doing
A warm cup of tea
A calm in the middle of the storm
Bring gratitude into your life as a non-negotiable part of it. Brainstorm it, talk it out, type it up, or visualize three things before bed to be grateful for. The more you focus on blessings, the more blessings you will attract.
7. Protect Your Energy Like It’s Gold
Not everybody is worthy of your energy. On hard days, in particular, curate what — and who — enters your field.
Ask yourself:
Does this person lift me up or suck me dry?
Is this conversation giving me energy or taking it away?
Does this content help me grow or make me spiral?
Unfollow, mute, step away. Protecting your peace is a powerful form of self-love, not selfishness.
8. Connect to Something Bigger Than You
It’s easy, when you’re low, not to feel lonely or lost. But you’re never really disconnected. Every now and then, you simply have to be reminded.
Call it Source, God, the Universe, Higher Self—tapping into something bigger can provide extraordinary comfort and clarity.
Ways to tap in:
Be still, meditate and listen.
You can whisper or say your desires.
Look at the stars and remember how infinite and supported you truly are.
A spiritual connection serves as a reminder you are part of something bigger — and that your soul elected your path for a reason.
9. Create Something—Anything
Creation is high frequency/vibration. It grounds you in the moment, out of your head and in your heart.”
Paint. Write. Bake. Garden. Sing. Build. Arrange flowers. Make something messy. Make something beautiful. It’s not about talent — it’s about expression.
When you write, you step into your soul’s voice — which is where your real power resides.
10. Accept the Low Days, But Don’t Unpack There
Here’s the truth: you’re not supposed to be feeling high-vibe every second. Spirituality is not “positive vibes only.” It means feeling all of your human emotions — and then deciding to get up from them when you’re ready.
Honor your pain.
Feel the grief.
But realize that you don’t have to live in the storm indefinitely.
When it comes to your vibration, turning it up is not about shunning the dark—it’s about turning on the light, however dimly.
Final Thoughts
Raising your vibration is not a one-time remedy and it is not a performance. It’s a daily dedication to your wellness, your truth and your alignment. It’s about getting so sensitive to your own energy that you know exactly how to change it — softly and authoritatively — even on your worst days.”
And the best part? You don’t have to be perfect to be powerful. You just need to be present.
So this day, try to pick one tiny thing: a breath, a walk, a kind word to yourself. It matters. You matter. And every time you stand up, so do so many others.
